{"id":1878,"date":"2018-06-10T05:56:04","date_gmt":"2018-06-10T10:56:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/artwethereyet.com\/blog\/?p=1878"},"modified":"2022-01-09T13:18:38","modified_gmt":"2022-01-09T19:18:38","slug":"playing-perspective-mural-time-lapse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/artwethereyet.com\/blog\/playing-perspective-mural-time-lapse\/","title":{"rendered":"A Mural Celebrating Perspective"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"video-container\"><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mSz5XomaEwo\" width=\"760\" height=\"415\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Playing With Perspective: A Mural Time Lapse<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica;\">My mural in El Sauce was a labor of love. \u00a0I began painting in April, and it took just over a month to complete. \u00a0El Sauce (pronounced el-sow-say) is my hometown, a beautiful small town tucked between Nicaragua&#8217;s volcano chain and mountain highlands. \u00a0I moved away at 17, I have studied art and traveled the world. \u00a0But I have always wanted to return to El Sauce and share some of the beautiful things I&#8217;ve seen and learned. \u00a0I was very grateful for the time and opportunity to create this mural during my latest visit home.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica;\">The mural is an appropriation of the 1947 woodcut, \u201cOther World\u201d, by M.C. Escher. &nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcescher.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">M.C.
