{"id":4191,"date":"2020-03-26T16:45:53","date_gmt":"2020-03-26T21:45:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/artwethereyet.com\/blog\/?p=4191"},"modified":"2022-01-09T13:03:44","modified_gmt":"2022-01-09T19:03:44","slug":"four-friends-in-a-bus-nashville-tn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/artwethereyet.com\/blog\/four-friends-in-a-bus-nashville-tn\/","title":{"rendered":"A Song from Four Friends"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"video-container\"><iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Etsmnq8e2Ow\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When I lived in Nashville, my friends and I frequented many of the same open mics and house concerts.&nbsp; Each of us had a song that we often sang, and over time we became each other\u2019s back-up singers. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was great fun.&nbsp; Whether it was from the crowd or onstage, we would all chime in to bring that extra layer of depth and beauty to those songs. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For me, that song was \u201cSend in the Angels\u201d.&nbsp; Over time, my friends\u2019 rendition of the harmonies became <em>part<\/em> of the song.&nbsp; So much so, that <a href=\"https:\/\/artwethereyet.com\/blog\/store\/Time-Marches-Forward-Digital-Album-p129091696\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"when I recorded it (opens in a new tab)\">when I recorded it<\/a>, it was only natural that they sang on the recording.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So when you listen to \u201cSend in the Angels\u201d on the album, Time Marches Forward, there is <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Aubryn (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aubrynmusic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Aubryn<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Haley Dreis (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/haleydreismusic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Haley Dreis<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.maryjennings.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mary Jennings<\/a>, Melanie Dewey (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"MELD (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.meldmusic.net\/music\" target=\"_blank\">MELD<\/a>), and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Tracee Perrin (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.traceeperrinmusic.com\/_\/Tracee_Perrin_Home.html\" target=\"_blank\">Tracee Perrin<\/a>.
