We didn&#8217;t plan to have any more stops for the rest of the year.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But while we were driving through the area, <a href=\"https:\/\/business.facebook.com\/artwethereyetbus\/photos\/a.186430835547408\/530578471132641\/?type=3&amp;theater\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">one of our posts went viral<\/a> in the region.  It was seen by Amy, who works at Ray Thompson Elementary in Gadsden, Alabama.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Amy sent us a message on Facebook.  <em>&#8220;I know it&#8217;s a long-shot, but any chance you can come to Ray Thompson?&#8221;  <\/em>&#8220;You bet!&#8221; we replied.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A few days, we arrived in Gadsden and spent a full day at Ray Thompson Elementary.  Jos\u00e9 conducted back-to-back painting workshops, while I circulated through classrooms doing mini-songwriting workshops.  It was a jam-packed and wonderful day!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An unexpected surprise in Gadsden<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One thing we are learning through the Art We There Yet project&#8230;one thing always leads to the next, and you never where the path may turn next!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We never would have passed through Gadsden if Amy had not contacted us.  Because we came through town, we met Arnold Montgomery and a new collaboration and friendship was born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While in Gadsden, we went out to listen to Tuesday night jazz, and there was Arnold playing with his group.
