This could  have happened anywhere, but by a brilliant stroke of photographer&#8217;s luck, it happened on a lonely road directly facing the Teton Mountains.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"rl-gallery-container rl-loading\" id=\"rl-gallery-container-1\" data-gallery_id=\"4754\"> <div class=\"rl-gallery rl-basicgrid-gallery \" id=\"rl-gallery-1\" data-gallery_no=\"1\"> <div class=\"rl-gallery-item\"><a href=\"https:\/\/artwethereyet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/school-bus-tire-blow-out-art-we-there-yet-2.jpg\" title=\"\" data-rl_title=\"\" class=\"rl-gallery-link\" data-rl_caption=\"\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-1\" data-magnific_type=\"gallery\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/artwethereyet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/school-bus-tire-blow-out-art-we-there-yet-2.jpg\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1271\" alt=\"school-bus-tire-blow-out-art-we-there-yet\"\/><\/a><\/div><div class=\"rl-gallery-item\"><a href=\"https:\/\/artwethereyet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/school-bus-skoolie-grand-tetons-art-we-there-yet-2.jpg\" title=\"\" data-rl_title=\"\" class=\"rl-gallery-link\" data-rl_caption=\"\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-1\" data-magnific_type=\"gallery\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/artwethereyet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/school-bus-skoolie-grand-tetons-art-we-there-yet-2.jpg\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1271\" alt=\"school-bus-skoolie-grand-tetons-art-we-there-yet\"\/><\/a><\/div><div class=\"rl-gallery-item\"><a href=\"https:\/\/artwethereyet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/school-bus-repair-breakdown-art-we-there-yet-2.jpg\" title=\"\" data-rl_title=\"\" class=\"rl-gallery-link\" data-rl_caption=\"\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-1\" data-magnific_type=\"gallery\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/artwethereyet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/school-bus-repair-breakdown-art-we-there-yet-2.jpg\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1271\" alt=\"school-bus-repair-breakdown-art-we-there-yet\"\/><\/a><\/div> <\/div> <\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>I was in Kansas helping my family arrange my grandmother&#8217;s funeral, when I received the text:  Jos\u00e9 was stranded, 28 miles from the nearest town, and very shoddy cell service.  He had to hike 30 minutes up a mountain just to call me.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the next week, we worked together to research and order new tires, avoid an expensive tow, and get the bus to the shop. The clincher was&#8230;the nearest shop equipped to replace and balance tires on an 11-ton rig  was across the mountains in Idaho Falls.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fate steps in&#8230;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Just before heading out, Jos\u00e9 made a social media post about this latest twist.  And who should get in touch, but Angela who has been following the journey from the very beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Way back when we were fundraising for the bus, we produced <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/TF7c2XV2VG4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a video of me singing &#8220;Change&#8221;<\/a> next to a thermal pool in Iceland.  That video found its way into Angela&#8217;s Facebook feed and spoke deeply to her.  Since then, she has been following this ever-winding path we&#8217;ve been on.  Aaaaaand she lives in Driggs, Idaho.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When Jos\u00e9 made the post about Idaho Falls, Angela immediately sent an excited message inviting him to stop through Driggs.  We are strong believers in the power of &#8216;yes&#8217;, so that colorful bus pointed its way to Driggs!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Connections begin a bubblin&#8217;&#8230;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, Angela works for a restaurant owner who been looking for someone to paint a mural at one of their spots, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.citizen33.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Citizen 33 Brewery<\/a>.   Enter Jos\u00e9 with his funky, geometric style and the connection was made!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Citizen 33 became our family and our home for the next week.  Jos\u00e9 painted during the day, and <a href=\"https:\/\/business.facebook.com\/artwethereyetbus\/videos\/3132755426820149\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">I played live music at Citizen 33<\/a> in the evenings.  It was beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have had time to really connect with Angela, and we have made so many friends here in the Teton Valley.  It led to another mural, this time to be painted at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/risedriggs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rise Coffee<\/a>. And more opportunities to play music. We really do believe that when you see the positive, you open up the door for good things to come your way.
