The theme of inner strength…<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When the students starting brainstorming how the music made them feel, some of the input was light and joyful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Me siento como si estuviera en la playa, con amigos, con familia, con mis pensamientos estoy contento. I feel as if I were at the beach, with friends and family, content with my own thoughts. <\/em> <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

But other times, it was a little heartbreaking to read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A veces me siento como si no tuviera nadie, como si no tuviera nada. Sometimes I feel like I don’t have anyone or anything. <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

And so we decided to take those feelings, and rather than dismiss them as invalid, we give them a place in the song. Then we followed them with the affirmation, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pero eso no es cierto. But that’s not true.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Songwriting is an exercise that is at once introspective, fun, and expressive. This group took the process in stride and created such a beautiful piece. And with that, I let you enjoy watching the process unfold…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
