The Himalaya | A Short Film

THE HIMALAYAS | A TIME LAPSE FILM

Creating a time lapse of the Himalayas was a major priority for us during our trek to Everest Base Camp.

While José captured the beauty of the region through photography, I recorded monks, porters, yaks, prayer flags, and every other sound I could.  Our goal was to create a short time lapse film that conveys the beauty of the Himalayas and the culture of the Nepalese people.

In this film you can see alpenglow setting across towering peaks, the bustle of high mountain communities, and the peacefulness of glacial lakes. You can hear the chanting of monks and local women in a monastery, the ding of prayer wheels, and passing yak trains.  It is our best attempt to help bring you to this beautiful part of the world.
