A Mural Celebrating a Way of Life

The Story

To tell this story, we have to back way up.

Remember how a blown tire led to an amazing fall of murals and music in Driggs, Idaho?

Well, when we were in Driggs, a couple times we went to park the bus at the Big Eddy. It’s a pretty awesome spot just outside of Driggs, where you can park just along the curve of the Teton River. The striking Tetons rise in the distance, and moose saunter by almost daily.

Well, it was here that we met Dave and Sarah. They live and travel the USA with their little ones in their fifth wheel, doing some pretty awesome work along the way. We had some great campfire conversations, and then we all went our own ways.

Months later we reconvened…in Joshua Tree!

We were parked in Joshua Tree for a good month waiting to see if the pandemic would ease enough for us to do our concerts in California (no luck). While we were there, Dave and Sarah came out to park in the same big area of BLM land.

Once again, we shared some great times around a campfire. And that’s where they introduced us to Doug and Marcy, who also live an awesome adventurous life with their littles.

A few months later, we were in El Pescadero painting a 200ft long mural, and guess who popped in to paint with us?!

When Doug and Marcy were in Baja Sur, they also spent some time parked at Rancho El Camino. It came up in conversation that they were thinking of having a mural painted on the old work van. Doug and Marcy told them, “Hey we know some folks who paint murals!”

And the rest is history!

And without further ado, here is the story behind our time at Rancho El Camino.

No Me Rendiré / I Won’t Give Up

No estoy sola porque siempre estoy contigo (I’m not alone because I’m always with you)

When something happy comes to an end
La memoria está conmigo (The memory is with me)
Tiempo atrás es tiempo perdido (Time past is time lost)
Now together we go

Caminando sola sin ruido (Walking alone in silence)
I find myself without ego
Descubriendo el mundo de nuevo (Discovering the world anew)
En busca de un amigo (In search of a friend)

No me rendiré, no me rendiré (I won’t give up, I won’t give up)
I won’t give up, I won’t give up
A mi lado siempre estás (You’re always by my side)
Y vivirás con amor y paz (And you’ll live in love and peace)

No me rendiré, no me rendiré (I won’t give up, I won’t give up)
I won’t give up, I won’t give up
A mi lado siempre estás (You’re always by my side)
And in the end, it all comes down to love

Todo lo que voy a lograr (Everything I’m going to achieve)
Mi vida por delante (The life the lays before me)
Will have happy days and some down
Still together we go

Cuando estoy contigo me siento más fuerte (When I’m with you I feel stronger)
Y ni siquiera le temo a la muerte (Not even death do I fear)
Porque estás en mi mente (Because you’re here in my mind)
And in my soul

No me rendiré, no me rendiré (I won’t give up, I won’t give up)
I won’t give up, I won’t give up
A mi lado siempre estás (You’re always by my side)
Y vivirás con amor y paz (And you’ll live in love and peace)

No me rendiré, no me rendiré (I won’t give up, I won’t give up)
I won’t give up, I won’t give up
A mi lado siempre estás (You’re always by my side)
And in the end, it all comes down to love
